Indianapolis, IN 46219Starbase Indy was conceived by a group of fans in 1988. The concept was simple, a convention that was run by the fans for the fans. After many long years and eight extremely successful conventions, the then-owners, Mike & Shari Morey, decided to call it quits. This was a dark day for fans all over the Midwest; our Thanksgiving weekend would never be the same.In 2004, a group of fans decided that it was time to bring back our favorite fan-run convention. With the help of many volunteers, and the original bridge set, Starbase Indy was ready to bring science fictions fans from all over back to the Midwest.Starbase Indy is a non profit organization. Our goal is to bring back a fan-run convention while at the same time assisting our charities. Although in the past we were primarily a “Star Trek” convention, Starbase Indy will be expanding our guest list to various science fiction movies, television and book related media. Watch our website for up-to-date information on our guest list and programming.

Indianapolis Marriott East

Indianapolis, IN 46219One of the major projects of The Circle of Janus is the planning, sponsorship, and hosting of the annual InConJunction Science Fiction & Fantasy Convention. Held every year in July since 1981, InConJunction is a fan-run, not-for-profit, SF&F convention with a strong focus on our literary roots.InConJunction has something for everyone, with panels on writing, movies and television, comic books, artwork, science and technology, culture, fandom, entertainment and much more. At most times, there will be three or four panels going at the same time, giving you plenty of choices. If at any time you can’t find a panel that interests you, we also have a dealers’ room, art show, gaming room, and various special interest group rooms and tables, including a Doctor Who room and an Anime room. If none of that appeals, the con suite makes a great place to relax, meet people, and have some very interesting conversations. In the evenings, there’s the dance, late night horror readings, midnight movies, and many attendees throw their own room parties. If you’re looking for a convention that offers you a lot more than the typical handful of panels, a dealers’ room and autograph sessions, then InConJunction might be just what you’re looking for.
